Speed Limit Outside School
The government has fixed maximum speed limit for vehicles for the safety and convenience of the people on divider roads, roads within the municipal limits, outside schools and other roads in the state. Earlier, there were no separate orders for Speed Limited outside schools. All types of vehicles outside schools will run at a maximum speed of 25 kmph, while speed limit standards will be different on divider roads, roads within municipal limits and other roads.
Maximum speed 60 for two-wheelers on roads with 4 lanes or more dividers, 40 km per hour on roads within the Corporation limits, 25 km outside schools and 40 km on other roads. The maximum speed limit for three wheelers is 50 kmph on 4 lane or more divider roads, 40 kmph on roads within the corporation limits, 25 kms per hour outside schools and 40 kms per hour on other roads.
The maximum speed limit for quadricycles is 50 kmph on roads with 4 lanes or more dividers, 40 kmph on roads within the corporation limits, 25 kms per hour outside schools and 40 kms per hour on other roads. 4 lanes for up to 8 seater vehicles (M-1 category).
The maximum speed limit has been fixed at 100 kmph on divider roads, 50 kmph on municipal roads, 25 kmph outside schools and 55 kmph on other roads. Maximum speed 75 on 4 lane or divider roads for vehicles with 9 or more seats (M-2, 3 category), 45 on roads within the corporation limits, 25 outside schools and On other roads 45 km per hour has been fixed. Maximum speed of 70 for 4 lane or more divider roads for heavy vehicles (all N categories), 45 km on roads within the Corporation limits, 45 km outside schools, 25 km on other and other roads.
