Petrol-Diesel Prices Today: Petrol-Diesel Prices Rise Again Today

Petrol and diesel prices rise again on Saturday. State-owned oil companies have raised rates for the fourth time this week. Even today, petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by 80 paisa per liter in all major cities, including the country’s four metros.

Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by Rs 3.20 per liter this week. Due to the Assembly elections in five states, companies have not changed their oil prices for 137 days, while crude oil prices have gone up by about 45 per cent.

Petrol and diesel prices in all four metros
  • In Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 98.61 and diesel at Rs 89.87 per liter
  • Mumbai petrol at Rs 113.35 and diesel at Rs 97.55 per liter
  • Chennai petrol at Rs 104.43 and diesel at Rs 94.47 per liter
  • Kolkata petrol at Rs 108.01 and diesel at Rs 93.01 per liter
New rates are issued daily at 6 p.m.

Petrol and diesel prices change every day at 6 am. The new rates will take effect from 6 p.m. Adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other factors to the price of petrol and diesel brings the price to almost double the actual price. That is why petrol and diesel prices are so high.
